My best find for cheap hayfever tablets
I am always on the lookout for cheap hayfever tablets. Whilst pregnant many moons ago I developed a condition called chronic urticaria. I have had this now for over 17 years. What keeps my condition under control is 10mg of cetirizine hydrochloride per day.
Chronic urticaria is horrid. If I don’t take my tablets then I develop hives over my body which is intensely itchy. It is worse if I go abroad, as heat seems to be a trigger too.
Whilst I was pregnant I suffered so bad it looked like my body had burnt due to its raging red and purple lumps and bumps. It was extremely painful. At the time I wasn’t allowed the medication I needed.
After the birth of my Daughter, I was prescribed Cetirizine Hydrochloride. I can’t remember the exact cost but I think I was paying about £6.00 for each prescription.
One day whilst collecting the prescription the Pharmacist informed me that buying in the store was a cheaper option.
The Pharmacist took me to the hayfever aisle and showed me the chemists own brand. He advised me that I needed to look for packets showing 10mg of cetirizine hydrochloride, one tablet per day. The packet was aimed at hayfever suffers but it also in the small print said it controls hives.
As you can imagine over the past 17 years, I have been looking for the best price for cetirizine hydrochloride.
There are many brands which charge an awful lot for hayfever tablets. Some tablets are £9.99 for only 7 days.
Instead of going for fancy packaging I’m on the hunt for the active ingredients.
My top finds are generally 99p for 30 days. This is for 10mg of Cetirizine Hydrochloride. One a day tablets.
A few weeks ago I had run out of my tablets. I thought I had a packet in the cupboard but didn’t. This meant having to pop into Superdrug where I bought these for £1.99 for 14 days as they had none of their budget 30 days for 99p available. I could have kicked myself for not having a pack in the cupboard.
I really don’t like to pay more than I have too for my cetirizine Hydrochloride.
TOP FIND – CHEAP HAYFEVER TABLETS
Whilst in Home Bargains and I spotted these Cetirizine Hydrochloride tablets for a mere 49p!
Yes only 49p, I was delighted with my find that I was super keen to share this with you.
I have been taking these for the past week and they have been working just great.
If you suffer from hayfever or allergies I recommend picking up a pack.
