“Spring Nails, please” I responded when asked at the salon what I would like. Each time it’s the same, I arrive with images from Pinterest showing designs to give ideas. The Lady who does my nails nearly fell off her chair once when I just asked for plain varnish.
Over the years it has become my habit to get my nails done as my beauty treat. Personally, I like my nails to match the seasons. I couldn’t wait to get the other design taken off. The nails were a dark shade and although suitable for when we had cold weather, now I wanted pastels.
With beautiful pink cherry blossom in the trees and the yellow rapeseed in the fields, Spring is here. okay so it actually starts on Wednesday 20th March, but to me, Spring is here.
Spring for me is like a new beginning. We have had the cold winter and shorter days with nights cosied up on the sofa. Spring feels beautiful, fresh and new. Just like a newborn baby being wrapped in powder pinks or blues.
Instead of smelling chimney fires, cinnamon and spiced candles, it brings scents of cut grass, freesias, Jasmine and also another favourite of mine Hyacinth.
